1. Classified by tool change form
(1) Machining center with tool magazine manipulator The machining center tool change device is composed of a tool magazine and a manipulator level, and the tool change action is completed by the manipulator.
(2) The machining center of the manipulator. The tool change of this machining center completes the tool change process through the coordinated action of the tool magazine and the spindle box.
(3) Turret tool magazine type machining centers are generally used in small machining centers, mainly for machining holes.
2. Classified by machine tool form
(1) Horizontal machining center refers to a machining center with a horizontal spindle axis. Horizontal machining centers generally have 3-5 motion coordinates. Commonly, there are three linear motion coordinates (along the X, Y, and Z axis directions) plus a rotary coordinate (worktable), which enables the workpiece to be clamped at one time to complete the processing of the remaining four surfaces except the mounting surface and the top surface. The horizontal machining center has a wider application range than the vertical machining center, and is suitable for the processing of complicated box parts, pump bodies, valve bodies and other parts. However, the horizontal machining center occupies a large area and has a large weight; the structure is complex and the price is high.
(2) A vertical machining center refers to a machining center with a vertical spindle axis. Vertical machining centers generally have three linear motion coordinates. The worktable has indexing and rotation functions. It can be installed on the worktable—a horizontal axis CNC turntable for processing spiral parts. The vertical machining center is mostly used for the processing of tube box body, box cover, plate parts and plane cam. The vertical machining center has the advantages of simple structure, small area and low price.
(3) The gantry machining center, similar to the gantry milling machine, is suitable for processing large or complex workpieces.
(4) Universal Machining Center Universal Machining Center is also called five-sided machining center. Small workpiece clamping can complete the processing of all surfaces except the mounting surface; it has the functions of vertical and horizontal machining centers. There are two types of common Wanjian lying work centers: one is that the main shaft can rotate 900, which can be like a vertical machining center or a horizontal machining center; the other is that the main shaft does not change the direction, and the worktable has The workpiece is rotated 900 to complete the processing of the five faces of the workpiece. The installation of the workpiece in the universal machining center avoids the installation error caused by the secondary clamping, so the efficiency and accuracy are high, but the structure is complex and the cost is high.
